The Oklahoma Quality Awards, modeled after theĀ Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award, recognizes businesses and other organizations that are in various stages of their Performance Excellence Journey. The three levels of the Oklahoma Quality Awards are:
- Commitment Award
(Commitment to Performance Excellence) - Achievement Award
(Progress toward Performance Excellence) - Excellence Award
(Best-in-Class Results)
In addition to recognition, the value of participating in this process is through the Feedback Report that identifies the key strengths and opportunities for improvement based on the seven Categories of the Baldridge Criteria for Performance Excellence:
- Leadership
- Strategic Planning
- Customer Focus (students for education and patients for health care)
- Measurement, Analysis and Knowledge Management
- Workforce Focus
- Process Management Results
Who can apply?
Any for-profit or not-for-profit organization operating in Oklahoma for three or more years may apply for the award. Eligibility is open to all organizations whose major functions are verifiable in Oklahoma. There are some restrictions on subsidiaries and parent organizations.
