What are the different Award Levels?
The 2008 Award program has three levels:
COMMITMENT, ACHIEVEMENT & EXCELLENCE.
These three levels are a mechanism
whereby organizations may share the values and achievements
associated with the application of continuous improvement principles
to customer satisfaction and organizational performance excellence.
By participating in the process, they can advance through a
series of developmental steps allowing them to ultimately apply
for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. With the proper
application of knowledge gained, organizations can expect significant
gains and positive results in performance.
Oklahoma Quality Award for Commitment.
For organizations who have progressed to a point of serious
commitment to the use of continuous improvement principles in
their operations. Applicants must submit a self-assessment of
their operations describing how they are beginning to apply
the criteria for performance excellence to their operations.
At this level, the self-assessment will be followed by an on-site
evaluation and review by senior examiners.
Oklahoma Quality Award for Achievement.
This is an advanced level for organizations that have demonstrated,
through their commitment and application of continuous improvement
principles, significant progress in building sound processes
and in achieving improvement results. Applicants at this level
will submit a written application, which is reviewed by examiners,
who will verify and clarify issues at a site visit, and then
prepare written feedback.
Oklahoma Quality Award for Excellence.
This level is for those organizations that have demonstrated
through their practices and achievements, the highest levels
of excellence worthy of recognition as outstanding examples
of organizations in the State of Oklahoma. Applicants at this
level will submit a written application, which is reviewed by
examiners, who will verify and clarify issues at a site visit,
and then prepare written feedback.
